RevWood is the next generation of lamiante flooring and can’t be beat. When investing in floors for your home the choices can be quite overwhelming. At Trademark Floors we believe that this process goes smoothest when the customer is properly educated on the options available to them. During the last decade we started seeing a need/want for water resistant flooring in the market.

RevWood by Mohawk

A product known as waterproof vinyl was introduced and it really started selling everywhere. During this time Mohawk forsaw the problems with this type of flooring and decided to invest in making a truly waterproof laminate flooring product. That product is known as RevWood.

Revwood uses technology that makes the flooring better then anything else on the market. The introduced a maximum scratch protection, fade resistance, lifetime All Pet® Warranty, WetProtect® Lifetime Waterproof Protection, GenuEdge® Locking, Wet & Steam Mopping Safe, CleanProtect® Antimicrobial, & Finally my Favorite Signature™ Texture.

Signature HDX captures the design of natural wood, scanning, cataloging and preserving the detail and variety common to each wood species. The 75 layers of texture are transferred to each flooring plank. Signature HDX’s high-definition color process offers extreme color clarity and no loss of color detail.

“To explain this technology, ‘The Next Diamond’ campaign compares Signature HDX to man-made diamonds,” Arnold explained. “Diamonds are universally recognized as beautiful and now Signature HDX brings diamond level clarity to SolidTech Premier.”

Mohawk RevWood Signature

When you shop for water resistant flooring it is important to physically touch the product so you can touch and see the products for yourself to determine the differnces in quality. The good news is any water resistant lamiante is going to be better then most all SPC flooring products. Mohawk RevWood is meant for homes where you will be living for 10 or more years.

When installating RevWood the manufacture requires a 6 mil Moisture Barrier Polyethylene Vapor Barrier to be installed first. The vapor barrier must also go up the wall behind the baseboards or trim. Then after you install the floor all of the cut edges must be sealed with silicone. Then the baseboards or trim is installed back securing the floor from both topical water damage and from sweating from the slab. Now it is important to remember that a catastrophic event such as a water heater busting or a slab leak could still potenially damage the floor, but, if any lamiante floor could survive it RevWood would be the most suited to do so.

The best part about RevWood is when you are ready to move you will not have to replace the flooring because of how well it is made and the fact that it will still look new years later. People are literally ripping out hardwood to install Mohawk RevWood because of how durable this product is and how it is ready for all life to be lived on it.

When making a purchase for flooring it is always important to look at this as an investment and not a purchase. So for example if you have estimate for $10,000.00 most people would get sticker shock from this price. But if you break it down as an investment all of the sudden it seems very reasonable. RevWood should last many years but for number purposes lets use 20 years for this example. So now the $10,000.00 investment is $500.00 a year or $41.67 a month. That really changes the perspective.

Since none of us normally have $10,000.00 sitting around, Trademark Floors Has partnered with GreenSky Financing to offer wonderful financing options to customers. These options range from 0% intrested for up to 24 months to 6 year long options with decent intrest rates. Make sure to call a flooring professional and get some real answeres to all the questions regarding your flooring investment.
